Box Motion Studio

YOUR ARTWORK · YOUR PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information Box Motion Studio handles and the privacy choices available to users.Effective July 30, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to boxmotionstudio.com, the Box Motion, Container Motion, and Model Motion editors, shared accounts, company workspaces, project and media libraries, and related services. It does not apply to websites, marketplaces, payment pages, or services operated independently by third parties.

2. Information we collect

Account and company information

We collect information such as name, email address, company name, workspace role, plan, account status, invitation and login activity, business contact information, branding assets and colors, permission settings, complimentary or trial access, and support communications.

Billing information

Stripe processes payment-card and billing information. Box Motion Studio receives transaction identifiers, customer and subscription status, plan, invoice and payment status, renewal dates, and limited billing contact information. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

Artwork and project information

Packaging panels, dielines, labels, curved-surface wraps, 3D models, custom backgrounds, project settings, and rendered frames may be processed locally in your browser. When you save a project, upload a reusable asset, save finished media, create a share link, or use a feature that requires cloud storage, the selected content and related metadata are uploaded to the shared workspace. Logos, watermarks, supported model source files, stills, and videos may be stored so authorized users can continue working without re-uploading. We do not claim ownership of your artwork or product models.

Optional AI creation and enhancement

AI features are optional and are not included with Free access. When you request AI creation or enhancement, the selected reference image or video, product context, prompt, and technical settings are sent to our AI media provider to fulfill the request. Completed outputs are returned to and stored in your shared media library. The normal manual-render workflow does not send creative files to the AI media provider, although files you deliberately save to projects or media are stored by our hosting and storage providers.

Usage and technical information

We may collect IP address, browser and device information, session identifiers, security events, pages and features used, video-download counts, plan usage, error diagnostics, and timestamps. We do not need the visual contents of your locally processed packaging artwork to count an authorized export.

Assistant conversations

When you use the Box Motion Assistant, we process the questions you submit, limited recent conversation context, your authentication state, and the page you are viewing to provide product and account guidance. A logged-in assistant may guide you to available subscription controls but is not given complete payment-card information. Do not enter passwords, payment details, confidential client artwork, or sensitive personal information in chat. Conversations may be processed by an artificial-intelligence service provider when that feature is active.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, secure, and maintain the Service.
  • Create and administer accounts, invitations, and workspaces.
  • Save projects, source assets, media, and authorized share links.
  • Process purchases and manage subscriptions.
  • Enforce suite-wide downloads, AI credits, seats, trials, roles, and permissions.
  • Send service, security, billing, and support communications.
  • Diagnose failures and improve performance and usability.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and unlawful activity.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information for money. We share information only as reasonably necessary with service providers that support hosting, database and file storage, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, AI media generation, assistant responses, customer support, security, and analytics; with your company’s authorized workspace administrators and people with whom an authorized user creates a media share link; in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets; or when required to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate abuse.

Service providers process information under their agreements, privacy terms, and applicable legal obligations. Box Motion Studio does not use uploaded artwork, product models, generated media, or Motion Assistant conversations to train a public Box Motion Studio model. Information deliberately submitted to an AI feature is also subject to the applicable provider’s data practices.

5. Cookies and local browser storage

We use essential cookies to keep users signed in, maintain secure sessions, and protect accounts. The Studio may use browser storage for temporary editor state, asset caching, recovery copies, and workflow preferences. Clearing site data may remove unsaved recovery state but does not delete projects or media already saved to your account.

If we introduce nonessential advertising or cross-site tracking technologies, we will update this policy and provide legally required choices before using them.

6. Retention

We retain account, workspace, project, media, subscription, security, and transaction records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Stored projects, source assets, media, share links, and company branding remain until removed, the workspace is deleted, or retention is otherwise no longer necessary, subject to backups and legal requirements. Locally processed or downloaded files remain under your device-storage choices.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service, browser, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and devices used to access confidential client artwork.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about processing; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to appeal a denied request. You may update many company-profile details through your account. Account owners can also export available account information through Account. To make a privacy request, email support@boxmotionstudio.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against a user for exercising a legally protected privacy right.

Box Motion Studio does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this practice changes, we will provide required opt-out methods and honor applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals.

9. International use and children

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from another country, information may be processed in the United States and other places where service providers operate. The Service is intended for business users age 18 or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our practices, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@boxmotionstudio.com.
